How would you feel if we called a mop a ‘floor cloth’?

When did you last clean your ‘floor cloth’?

And why is our standard of clean for a ‘floor cloth’ so different to a kitchen cloth?

Would you soak your kitchen cloth and hang it in a damp and dark cupboard, ready for tomorrow!  

When was the last time your soaked kitchen cloth lasted two weeks?

Cleanable equipment is one of the most important factors when picking cleaning equipment when hygiene, efficiency and quality over the life of the product.  

Importantly, clean is not rinsed or soaked, it is cleaned.  Machine washable for soft materials.  Microfibre is a material science.  Looked after well, cleaned properly and used correctly, it is a high tech tool of cleaning.  Incorrectly, it may as well be a rag.

Why do our floors not deserve the respect of our bathroom sink and toilets, kitchen bench and high touch areas when floors are one of the most touch surfaces any facility with every step?

• The floors connect every area on our facilities and homes.

• Shoes are well known for bringing contamination into any business or home.  

• Whatever is on your hard floor is likely to end up in your carpet areas and in the air.
